Founder Story
Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Ahmedabad, there was a young prodigy named Ritesh Sethia. Even as a student at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Ritesh’s exceptional speed in calculations caught the attention of his teacher, Sarojini Ma’am. Intrigued by his abilities, she decided to test Ritesh’s skills further.
To everyone’s astonishment, no one else in the school could match Ritesh’s lightning-fast calculations. Overwhelmed by his talent, Sarojini Ma’am affectionately proclaimed, “Everybody can become a Mathematician, but Ritesh will become a Mathemagician!” The nickname stuck, and Ritesh embraced it wholeheartedly.
As the years went by, Ritesh’s passion for mathematics grew stronger. He excelled in his board exams, scoring an impressive 98 in Mathematics in his 10th grade and achieving a perfect 100 in Accountancy during his 12th grade.
While pursuing his M.Sc (CA & IT) from K.S.S.B.M, Ritesh’s father, Shri Sushil Kumar Sethia, recognized his son’s extraordinary abilities and decided to take him to Andhra Pradesh. There, they aimed to break records for Fastest Mental Calculations, and that’s precisely what Ritesh did. He registered two world records and two Asia-level records, leaving a mark in the world of mental calculations.
Fuelled by his success and a desire to share his knowledge, Ritesh wrote a book on Mental Maths Tips and Tricks. In his final year of college, he realised his dream and founded Mathemagica, a coaching institute with a vision to eliminate the fear of mathematics. Armed with his unique teaching methods and contagious enthusiasm, Ritesh became the youngest faculty member in the entire Ahmedabad city.
Since its establishment in 2012, Mathemagica has grown steadily, guiding numerous students on their mathematical journey. Ritesh’s commitment to transforming the way students perceive and approach mathematics has touched the lives of many. Through his institute, he continues to inspire young minds, helping them unlock the magic of mathematics and build a solid foundation for their future.
Now, Mathemagica stands as a testament to Ritesh’s dedication, perseverance, and his unwavering belief that every student can conquer their fear of mathematics and become true Mathemagicians. 😊
